About SunAmpRV
An RV that makes its own power changes the trip. The fridge stays cold, the fans keep running and the nearest hookup can be a long way off. SunAmpRV is about getting there: the panels, charge controllers, batteries, inverters and wiring behind an off-grid RV, explained one component at a time.
Why it’s worth getting right
A good solar setup lets you stay longer at quiet campsites, leave the generator off in the morning and stop rationing the battery after dark. A setup that is undersized or wired in a hurry does the opposite: a flat battery by the second morning, fuses that blow, and a bank that never seems to reach full charge.
Most of the difference comes from a chain of decisions. The power you use each day sets the size of the array and the battery bank. Those set the charge controller. Your biggest loads set the inverter, and the currents involved set every cable and fuse. There’s real satisfaction in a system you understand that well, and SunAmpRV follows the chain one decision at a time, with the numbers shown, so each choice is easier to make and to check.
